We’re Sorry We Can No Longer Provide This Service — But We’re Going to Make It as Easy as Possible
For more than 25 years, Boomer Insurance Group provided annual Medicare Part D prescription drug plan reviews at no cost to our clients.
Unfortunately, The changes to the Part D program eliminated the commissions that previously allowed us to provide this service, while federal rules do not allow us to charge clients a fee for Part D plan reviews.
We continued providing these reviews without compensation for the past three years because we wanted to take care of our clients. However, the cost to our small agency has approached $60,000, and we simply cannot continue absorbing that expense.
Beginning in October 2026 during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (October 15th –December 7th), Boomer Insurance Group will no longer perform annual comparisons or give recommendations for standalone Medicare Part D prescription drug plans.
The Good News: It’s Easier Than You Think
We know that going to Medicare.gov and comparing prescription drug plans may sound intimidating. It really isn’t — and we’re going to show you exactly how to do it.
We created a simple step-by-step video showing you how to enter your prescriptions, choose your pharmacy, compare your available Part D plans, and determine which option may work best for you.
In the video, we’ll walk through several actual drug plan comparisons and share some of the tips and tricks we’ve learned from doing thousands of these reviews over the years.

You can call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) and have a Medicare representative help you compare the Part D plans available in your area at no cost to you.
During the Annual Enrollment Period, October 15 through December 7, 1-800-MEDICARE is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our tip for avoiding long waits: If you live on the East Coast, try calling very early in the morning — around 5:00, 6:00, 7:00 or 8:00 AM. Calling early can be a good way to avoid the heavier call volumes that occur later in the day.

We sincerely wish we could continue providing annual Part D reviews ourselves. After doing so without compensation for the past three years, it is simply no longer financially sustainable for our small agency.
